Namibian Rope Bracelet
Namibia was the last country the workshop owner stopped at during her year long travel. On the western coast lies the city Swakopmund and there at the markets she saw himba tribe women covered in red soil like material selling handmade crafts from their culture. It is common for the people to use local materials such as hemp, mud, seeds, etc to make necklaces and bracelets which are both beautiful and original. This has inspired the workshop owner to bring this unique craftsmanship back and share it with you.
What’s Included:
- Introduction to himba tribal lifestyle and stories
- instruction of himba tribal bracelet making technique
- choosing of material and color matching
INCLUDE ALL MATERIALS (thin/thick ropes of different colors, bracelet accessories, and glue. You can also choose to add letterings)
WORKSHOP DURATION: 1.5 HOURS
LOCATION: WINFUL INDUSTRIAL BUILDING NGAU TAU KOK/OTHER LOCATIONS AS NEEDED
WORKSHOP CAPACITY: 2-4 PEOPLE (MIN. OF 2 PEOPLE, 4 PEOPLE OR ABOVE FOR PRIVATE GROUP)
